Welcome to the Blue Ridge Cowboy Church in Fletcher, NC. One of the most exciting churches anywhere. If you like the cowboy culture, you'll love the cowboy church! You don't have to be a cowboy to attend. Most people who come to cowboy church don't even own a horse. They tell me they come because they like the relaxed atmosphere where they can be themselves, whether they have a Harley, or a horse, wear boots or suits, are divorced or married, it just doesn't matter. It is a place you can feel welcome and right at home. Most folks who check us out end up staying. So come on down, check out the Blue Ridge Cowboy Church, we believe you'll end up staying too! Every Tuesday evening at 7PM, at the WNC Ag Center 828-273-9635 or go to www.brcowboychurch.org

12 - PARADE OF BREEDS Sunday, October 12, 2008 Chetola Farms, Monroe NC
Join your fellow horseman and horsewomen in the Parade of Breeds. On Sunday afternoon at 3pm, be ready to ride and show off your horse! Each exhibitor or group of exhibitors will “parade” through the arena, giving spectators what they came to see—HORSES!
In one place, you’ll see miniature horses, draft horses, race horses and gaited horses. It is a unique opportunity to see a vast assortment of horses all in one place. It’s a chance to get up close to your favorite breeds, talk to owners, ask questions, collect information and maybe pet a few special ones!
All donations for this event will support the United States Equine Rescue League, Inc. (USERL) for the Central Piedmont area. The USERL rescues and re-homes abandoned, abused horses and provides outreach education to the horse community. The USERL is a certified 501(c) (3) nonprofit horse-rescue and horse-rehabilitation program that is volunteer-run and operates solely on donations. Every dollar goes to support the USERL’s mission to save horses.
This event is geared to the public to entertain and educate. Anyone who is interested in learning more about horses or horse care is encouraged to attend. Bring the whole family for some good, wholesome fun. You can bring a picnic or purchase at the USERL concession stand. Some horses are nervous around dogs, so we ask that you keep your dogs leashed at all times.
As an exhibitor, you will have the opportunity to set up a table, banners, etc. at your stall area. The public will be invited to visit with the horse-owners throughout the day both before and after the Parade.
Established in 1998, Chetola Farms is home for a variety of horse breeds and riding disciplines. The owners, the Williams Family, breed, raise and train Paso Fino Horses. Chetola Farms is located in Monroe, NC. Directions and more information is available at: www.chetolafarms.com
If you have a horse that you would like to exhibit in the parade of breeds, please contact Lee Schnupper at 704-367-0693 or contact Deb Carl at dbcarl@bellsouth.net.
For more information on the work of the USERL - visit www.userl.org or www.userlcpnc.org.
